Inaugural Youth and Parent Night
[New York, NY, April 19, 2024] – You Gotta Believe (YGB) marked a significant milestone last night with its inaugural Youth and Parent Game Night event, igniting waves of enthusiasm!
The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as both youth and parents immersed themselves in three engaging activities aimed at fostering interaction, sharing, and laughter. Each activity garnered glowing feedback from attendees, adding to the warmth of the evening, with bellies filled and hearts lifted.

Our heartfelt gratitude extends to every contributor to this event’s success.

From the initial brainstorming a few months ago to the dedicated team members who brought it to life last night—Senior Recruiter and Event Coordinator Aileen Rosario, Recruiter Miyagi Scott, DIRECTOR OF HOMEFINDING AND PLACEMENT SERVICES Director of Homefinding and Placement, Rachel Hood, Nyamekye Reynolds, Advocates Michelle Lyles, Ricardo Vasquez and Michael Wright—all were instrumental. Whether spreading the word, ensuring safety, facilitating activities, or tidying up afterward, their dedication shone through.

Mary Keane, Senior Advisor at YGB, shared her reflections on the event: “It was inspiring to see parents and youth alike engage with such enthusiasm and authenticity. The bonds our team has forged with these youth were evident in their willingness to participate wholeheartedly. Despite their circumstances, these youth know how to have fun and connect when they feel safe—a testament to our mission. Let’s continue working to overcome the barriers preventing them from finding the loving families they deserve.

Yari Betancourt, Director of Youth Services, added, “While we aim to make this event a recurring highlight for the Nobody Ages Out team, let’s take a moment to celebrate this triumph together. These moments underscore the profound impact we create. Keep up the exceptional work!
